Dip Remover

THE DIP REMOVER WAS CREATED ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO BY ADVANCED CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS.  IT IS MADE UP OF THREE PARTS THAT MEASURE  84” IN LENGTH WHEN CONNECTED.  THE END  UNITS ARE RUBBER FEET WHERE THE CENTER SECTION IS A PNEUMATIC VIBRATOR.

THE CENTER ELEMENT IS LINED UP OVER THE DIP.  AIR IS APPLIED TO THE FEET WHICH PUSH THE VIBRATOR UP AGAINST THE TOP OF THE PIPE (MUCH LIKE THE BOW IN A ARCHERY SET UP).   THE AIR COMPRESSOR IS ENGAGED AND THE VIBRATOR SLOWLY RAISES THE PIPE UP IN SMALL INCREMENTS.

AFTER THE REPAIR THE EQUIPMENT IS REMOVED.  WATER IS REINTRODUCED INTO THE PIPE AND THE LINE IS INSPECTED AGAIN TO VERIFY THAT THE DIP HAS BEEN REMOVED.

SEWER VIEWER HAS PERFORMED HUNDREDS OF REPAIRS USING THIS METHOD WITH GREATER THAN 90% SUCCESS RATE.  THE FOLLOWING ARE LOCATIONS WHERE DIP REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE:
